Mission Statement
The principal objectives and purposes of the Jewish Child
and Family Service shall be to provide services which
will strengthen the family and personal lives of its clients
who are, in the main, though not exclusively, the Jewish
people of Winnipeg and its environs; to prevent personal
and family breakdown; to at all times, keep foremost in
its service delivery the philosophy of Jewish values and
traditions, recognizing the pluralistic Jewish community
but sensitive to the needs of the most traditional in
our society, for the express purpose of strengthening
Jewish identity, Jewish commitment and the quality of
Jewish life. In addition, the agency will respect and
be responsive to the unique culturally defined needs of
various non-Jewish consumer populations.
Funding
Jewish Child and Family Service is funded by the Jewish
Federation of Winnipeg/Combined Jewish Appeal, the United
Way of Winnipeg and the Province of Manitoba and grants
received from the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba.
