   JCFS invites applications for the following positions:

 

  Family Enhancement Worker (Child Welfare Program) – Part-time

 

Under the agency’s CFS mandate and as part of child welfare team, the Family Enhancement (FE) worker will offer strengths based/client centered, culturally appropriate, cooperative, community-based supports and interventions in order to strengthen children and their families.  Family Enhancement serves to provide early intervention to families in order to avert further involvement in the child welfare system.  The FE worker will engage and work with families from across all agency programs during the process of assessment, case planning and intervention. 

 

Requirements:

BSW/MSW or equivalent degree

Knowledge/relevant experience working in child welfare

Ability to run groups

Knowledge of Jewish culture, child development and family systems

Willingness to work flexible hours (possibly evenings and weekends)

Valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle is required

 

 

  Addictions Services Coordinator – Part-time

 

JCFS is seeking an Addictions Services Coordinator to lead in the development and implementation of formal addictions services within JCFS and the Winnipeg Jewish community.  Working within multiple agency teams, longer term goals will include providing one-on-one counselling and/or referral to addicts and/or their families, education and support to the community, network with local addiction resources, deliver educational workshops, establish and maintain effective collateral relationships with health and social services professionals, schools, and various self-help organizations, including  JACS Winnipeg (local Jewish 12-step group). 

 

Requirements:

MSW or equivalent degree

Relevant experience in the addiction field

Willingness to work flexible hours (possibly evenings and weekends)

Experience in planning, preparing and presenting educational material is an asset

Knowledge of Jewish culture

Must have a valid driver's license and supply own vehicle
